New Brunswick Senior Day

The New Brunswick Seniors and Research group is hosting “Senior Day” on Friday, May 13 from 9:30am-3:00pm at Rutgers Institute for Health, located at 112 Paterson Street in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Community members ages 55 and older in the New Brunswick area are invited to attend a fun day of free health education about nutrition, exercise, elder safety, and stress management. Food, games, and giveaways will also be provided. Programs will be offered in English and Spanish. Outdoor activities including a meal recipe demonstration and button making activity will be open to all between 12:00pm and 2:00pm and indoor workshops including presentations on safety and mental health will be open to those who have registered in advance.

“Older adults are integral to the fabric of our community, and we look forward to spending this day learning and growing with them,” says Kym Kirkley, Principal Librarian, New Brunswick Free Public Library.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring engaging and informative health information to our wonderful community of seniors in the New Brunswick area,” say the Seniors and Research group leaders.

Please call (732) 745-5108 extension 20 or email community@ifh.rutgers.edu to RSVP no later than Friday, April 29. Masks and proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative PCR test within 72-hours are required.
