Community Classroom are IFH organized educational workshops, programs, and educational materials that share information about various health topics. We have delivered presentations on nutrition, COVID-19 vaccine safety and efficacy, mental health and aging, etc. We can also create content on demand based on a variety of health topics.
“This is the first time in my years running the program that I have multiple people calling up even days later to say how much they benefited from the presentation and how much they enjoyed it.”

We currently have several active projects within IFH Builds and in the coming months, we hope to expand and be able to offer tailored organizational support to our community partners. We welcome the opportunity to partner with new organizations. If your organization is interested and wants to learn more, please email mmorontasanchez@ifh.rutgers.edu
IFH can help you BUILD…. Community, Capacity, Health, Development, Resources, Training, Trust, Sustainability... and more… through a variety of ways:
The annual awards aim to connect community organizations with Rutgers faculty to study important population health issues, build research infra-structure, and support research translation. We strive for these partnerships to further support knowledge exchange between the community and researchers while ensuring communities are empowered with information to improve health.
We have created an online database for use by community organizations to better understand the health needs of their community, as well as to provide background for grant applications.

IIn partnership with the New Jersey Office of Resilience and CUMAC in Paterson, NJ, we will conduct training on adverse childhood experiences ACEs Interface. The initiative aims to build a common language and understanding of ACEs across sectors. We will start to offer this presentation early next year.
